After eleven years, John Boylan has taken an extended administrative leave from teaching his popular course at UCLA. The course, Record Production I, Designation X 448.6 will be taught by another instructor. The class includes a field trip to a working recording studio, special industry guests, and lots of audio-visual presentations. As of the fall of 2008, John has been teaching a Master Class in Songwriting (MUS 172) at Citrus College in Glendora, CA. That class will be taught again in 2010, and in the fall, stay tuned for two other possible music industry-related classes.
